If you visit Albania its important to know how to dress. Albanians spend time making sure they look presentable. Western clothing is most popular. Porfessional men wear buisness suits and ties. Women over 50 wear dresses and skirts more than pants, while younger women are free to wear what they want. Coustumes are worn all over the county for special events or celebrations. In rural areas older people, depending on there region, will wear traaditional outfits. Clothing is more moderate in casual villages. In the north women wear a fustanellë (a full, white wool skirt) over tights. Men wear cotton or wool pants, and a heavy cotton shirt. Older Albanian women wear a traditional headscarf. When a women loses there husband or child they will wear a black headscarf for the rest of their life.
